The Advances in Pediatric Retina (APR) Course is taking place September 7-9, 2023.
The course is designed to showcase cutting edge pediatric vitreoretinal (VR) surgical techniques, therapeutic pharmacologic treatment strategies for the pediatric VR surgeon, and utilization of advances ophthalmic imaging to improve pediatric patient outcomes. A variety of information will be presented to stimulate the exchange of ideas. Audience participation will be encouraged, and extensive discussion periods will be provided.
Santa Clara is a city near San Jose, in California’s Silicon Valley. Many tech companies are headquartered here. California’s Great America amusement park located near by is known for its thrill rides.
This course will focus on the advances in diagnosis and surgical management of a wide spectrum of pediatric retinal diseases. It will
feature interactive panel discussions, with debate about different surgical approaches to these pathologies and management of
complications. Common and challenging cases will be presented with preoperative diagnostic imaging and intraoperative videos.
The target audience for this event is pediatric retina specialists, retina fellows, ophthalmologists interested in pediatric retina.
