Abstract Submission Instructions

This meeting combines clinical management of pediatric retinal conditions with basic/translational sessions and features keynote speakers, moderated panel discussions, and rapid fire talks with poster sessions to enhance audience/faculty interaction. With the support of the National Eye Institute and the Jack McGovern Coats’ Disease Foundation, Advances in Pediatric Retina 2023 will award selected scientific abstracts submitted by pediatric retina specialists and surgeons, pediatric ophthalmologists, and others in the team of providers for patients with pediatric retina conditions and support stipends to attend the meeting.

Abstracts will be reviewed by a scientific advisory committee. Attendees whose abstracts are selected will give succinct, 2-minute presentations to a full audience and faculty to enhance interaction. Following the presentations, awardees will present their posters for more in-depth discussions during time dedicated for poster sessions. Abstracts can be of clinical, basic, translational science or of innovative methods or medical or surgical management of pediatric retina conditions for discussion.  Preference will be given to scientific abstracts for support; however, clinical cases and innovative methods will be considered. We will also prioritize awarding travel support to fellows, residents and students who are new to the field of pediatric retina within 5 years of terminal training.  However, we invite all to submit.

Abstract submission deadline is June 2, 2023. Those selected will be informed end of July of 2023.

Submission Guidelines will include the following:

Maximum one page and word limit of 350 words.
